Power Over Ethernet (PoE)
4-port Switch DGS-1008P support the IEEE 802.3af standard PoE. For each PoE port is powered up to 15.4W, eventually switch can apply the general power to 52 watts, which enables users to connect to the DGS-1008P compatible devices with standard 802.3af. It also allows you to place the connected devices in remote places, regardless of the location of electrical outlets and minimize cabling.
 
Auto detect polarity MDI / MDI-X
Support auto polarity MDI / MDI-X on all ports eliminates the need for crossover cables or ports uplink. Each port can be connected directly to the server, hub, router, or switch using "direct» Ethernet-twisted-pair.
 
Reduced power consumption
8-Port Switch DGS-1008P support JavaScript D-Link GreenTM, providing lower power consumption and extends the life of the device without compromising with the performance and functionality of the device. Switch reduces power consumption depending on the status of connections and cable length. With the automatic power off when there is no connection port is saved a significant amount of energy on the inactive port or ports that are connected to the computer shuts down. The use of the passive cooling system ensures quiet operation and extends the life of the product.
